Brand: ÐARKŌN ER20 MTC w/ Type A Clamping Twist Lock Nut - Designed for manual tool changing (MTC) operations - Not for use with ATC modules - Tapered shank facilitates more efficient manual tool changing - For use in 3/4" spindles
Q: Are ÐARKŌN ER20 MTC Low Profile Precision Chucks compatible with ATC modules? A: No. MTC chucks are designed for manual tool changing operations only. ÐARKŌN ER20 ATC and ER32 ATC chucks are designed for ATC modules.
Q: Are ÐARKŌN ATC chucks suitable for manual tool changing operations? A: Yes. ATC chucks have the same tapered shank geometry as our MTC chucks, making them excellent for manual tool changing operations.
Q: What can you tell us about the clamping twist lock nuts? A: Your cutting tool won't drop out of the holder when unscrewing the nut because there is a second lock point still holding it in place. Further unscrewing of the nut releases the clamping pressure of the collet on the cutting tool, which can then be removed from the collet/holder.
The twist lock feature makes inserting and removing collets from the chuck very easy. To install a collet into the chuck simply insert the collet at a slight angle and twist it. The collet follows the internal threading of the nut and seats itself. Removal of the collet is just as easy, and is just the reverse of the install procedure.
